I just got to Field Marshall a few days ago. I can hit the credit cap (175,000, I believe) 3 times a day in about 5 hours. But it's just not worth the time.

Either way, that's only an estimate. In the last month I've gotten over 1.5 million credits. By their calculations, that shouldn't be possible.
I get on average around 9,000cR every FireFight arcade I do. The more you rank up, the more credits you get. I remember when I first started playing a Killionaire in FireFight Arcade would give me 13cR. When I get them now, I get over 400cR. My buddy is a Reclaimer (gamertag is BPiCS) and he gets about 15,000 a match in FireFight. He also hits the credit limit much faster. But there is a way around it. Either way, I'm done with ranking up in Halo, too boring. I'll play the occasional SWAT with friends, but other than that, it's going to be all about Trials Evolution soon.

You can't get credit banned or banned in general for bypassing the credit limit. All you do is change your time zone so you're in the next day's date.
I usually just start up FireFight Arcade and let my game idle through matches. But they very recently started banning people for doing that, so what you can do now is play the last 30 seconds of the game. I had a week long ban a few weeks ago. I paid for the damn game, I should be able to pay any way I like, fucking assholes at bungie. One of my buddies is TERRIBLE and does -4-9 almost every game we play. He got banned out of the blue and when he tried contacting bungie they said he was boosting (helping other players boost, and giving away free kills).
That's why I'm done with Reach, I've been credit banned twice now, one for ACTUALLY boosting all the DLC achievements and the other for not playing. So I'm done with Reach.
