i can live without internet. I can live without internet, tv, xbox 360, cell phones, all technological stuff. My wife thinks I can't but it doesn't really bother me when I don't have anything.
I either go outside or start reading a book.

up there at the top of my list of pet peeves.

As if I couldn't catch a break after everything screwing up for me. I never thought about any type of admission deadlines... I probably can't go to school this fall, since I found out too late about moving, and deadlines were back in like March. I left a message with someone at the registrar's office that can hopefully make an exception for me, but chances are I'm fucked.
This whole mess is so stupid.

So the school you need to go to is allergic to money? I'm sure they will find a way to squeeze you in.

What grinds my gears - A prospective client today threatened to sue me because I wouldn't take on his project.
He has a house that hasn't been painted in 40 years. That means LOTS of lead paint. No thank you.
So, he tried to bribe me with an extra $1000.00 cash. What he doesn't understand is that I was going to bid the whole project for @ $8000.00. That was before I brought out my lead testing kit. Once my kit turned bright red, I was outta there!!
He offered to pay $3000.00, and I told him I didn't handle environmental projects. Then he threatened me with a HUGE lawsuit. I had to explain to this dummy that I haven't received any money from him and I hadn't touched his house.
Further, I told him that if his lawyer contacts me, I will call the EPA. They will be VERY interested in your home.

EPA wouldn't do anything to them. They would only get into trouble if they disturbed the surface or hired someone to paint the house without having the proper certificate and/or qualifications. You did the right thing by telling him you couldn't/can't/won't do the house
The nerve of some people, that is why I hold people like you (who work with the general public) in high regards because I for one cannot tolerate stupid people or people that think they can buy there way out of things. Being a safety specialist I have had PLENTY of people try to buy there way out of fines and shit from me, that just pisses me off more.
Right On Mo!

The way I see it, if this idiot was willing to bribe me, he is probably going to find SOMEONE to bribe. If I can give the EPA a heads up on this property, at least they can step in and give this guy a warning.
