I feel like the Slim gets hotter more quickly because it's more efficient at getting the heat out? But that sucks dude, I'd just try previous suggestions.

Yeah, mine gets hot quick. I started installing the games on the hard drive so that the tray wouldn't spin the disc, I was hoping it would reduce the heat, it did, but not by much.

wow even slims having problems. M$ better hope there are no slims that need repais or people wont buy another new 360 type or even the next gen console.

Why dont you try installing the game to your harddrive. I had played a game and it was going crazy making my system burn up but once I installed it it worked just fine.

Good luck with that. Wal-Mart makes you send it in to their repair center 3 times before they wil replace it. My dad went through all that last year.
