I plan on hooking up my slim later today and it will be running constantly as I work on Perfect Dark achievements. I'll let you know if I burn it up or not. I purchased the 2 year service program from Walmart so I'm covered if the slim ends up being a POS.

Good luck with that. Wal-Mart makes you send it in to their repair center 3 times before they wil replace it. My dad went through all that last year.

Best Buy has the best deal for their warranties. You pay 50$ and can take it back for two years. All you have to do is plug it in when you get there and show them that it doesnt work then BAM brand new system. I have already returned about 6-7 xbox's and I am now thinking of putting the only one that worked in the microwave so I can go get a slim!

The first year is on Microsoft and all my original and elites have all crapped out in the first year. Don't plan on needing the Walmart add on, but for $20 I thought it was worth it. If I need it and it sucks, you can bet I'll be letting people know about it.
