I'm not really a fan of shooters, but I'll play good ones. I'll play about anything else as long as it is neither a fighting game or a racing game. Any other game is fair game!

I don't remember if I contributed to this thread or not, but I'm going to contribute anyway...maybe again.
I really play anything, I'm not TOO much into RPG's although I will play a select few...Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Risen (I need to pick that up again), Fable....Any of the RPG's that are not turn based combat style....or don't suck...I'll give a shot. I realize most of the RPG's that I play are more technically referred to as Action RPG...but that's what I play
Other than that, I like to play shooters, there my bread and butter
But, all in all...I'll play anything and everything at least one time, if it interests me than I will pick it up if not....it'll go right back to the store

I'd say I'm a fairly casual gamer that loves to earn achievements but I won't go out of my way to complete every game I play. I have to admit that cheevos have changed the way I game. A few years ago I could play games for months on end like the older GTA's and pre-cheevo NCAA and Madden games. Now I grow tired of most games after a few months if I don't have any more achievements to earn.
I love all kinds of genres but am definitely more partial to sanbox and most FPS (except Halo). I enjoy western RPG's like Oblivion and the Fable trilogy but despise JRPG's and any turn-based RPG's. I've never been really big on any type of horror games but did enjoy Dead Space. I guess cause it's more sci-fi horror.
I constantly have a Rock Band title in my rotation but no longer can stand any of the GH titles. Right now it's RB3. I started back with GH2 on my PS2 and play expert guitar/bass. I've never tried the drums despite having played real drums for years growing up and I only got a mic to do vocals on the Beatles game and get a few of the vocal cheevos on RB2 and plan on getting a few for RB3.

Yeah, I either really have to enjoy a game to complete it like Oblivion, Prey and Saboteur or it has to be extremely easy to complete like Avatar or Backyard Football 10.

I loved Prey. Most of the cheevos are obtainable just by playing through the story. You do have to play through it twice because you have to unlock Cherokee Mode but it was pretty darn easy. I really loved the story. It does have a number of MP cheevos that you pretty much need to find someone to boost with you because absolutely nobody plays the MP anymore.

I already completed it a couple months ago. Ownage and I boosted every MP cheevo over a 3 night span, playing a couple hours each night. You only need two people to boost it.

Yes, I know. It's tedious, but worth it. I still need to go back and do the hard play through.
