Warframe

For all of my fellow PS4 owners I have compiled some useful information about Waframe. Warframe is free to play and is currently my favorite game on the entire system.

One of the first things you should do (If you happen to be a PSN Plus member) is download the free starter pack. This will help you out tremendously. Just make sure not to waste your Platinums. Most frames in the game can be obtained from simple farming. If you do chose to spend it on a character make sure it's (Vaubon,Banshee,Volt or Excalibur) as they are the most difficult to create. Volt for example is only 75 (Which is a great bargain considering he comes with a 20 platinum item and a slot). It also should be noted you can buy the Blueprints for frames (Do not buy these yet!) As you will NOT have access to the items you need until later in the game.

If you have the platinum or simply don't know what kind of character you might like. I created this guide to help!

While you start with either Excalibur/Loki/Mag you might opt to replace them ASAP:

In my opinion the best four frames right now are: Rhino/Nova/Nyx due to some overpowered abilities. This game is constantly updated so nothing stays broken for long. Some frames like (Ember/Valkyr) are currently at a huge disadvantage right now due to nerfs. Hopefully when PS4 gets some updates this will change.

I also gave each character a tier value with (1) being the highest and (5) the lowest. (Note this is subject to change with updates)

The ratings are also based on skill,longevity and unique typing. (Excalibur would for example be easier to use then Loki and seem superior but this is not the case on equal terms. I also penalized frames that have no unique traits or are outclassed by something similar (Therefore becoming obsolete).

This game interests me a lot. I like how it looks and plays in the vids I've seen. Its not going to get me to buy a PS4 but I am more than likely going to pick it up off Steam.

I don't support games with a f2p model. Seemed a little unnecessary for this game to have its own thread since there are so few people on the forum that have ps4s.

That said if you enjoy it I'm glad, but it's just a game with a business model I refuse to support.

Edit: I think titanfall being the only mp shooter I need/want to play may also be a contributing factor.

Not sure what you don't "Support"? about free games? You don't NEED to pay for anything on Warframe. All items and frames can be farmed through hard work and diligence. They offer a way to pay for items (Which is not a necessity so they can continue to offer the game for no cost) You seem to support the paying 60 dollars for MP only model or the MMO model where your paying 40-60 dollars plus a monthly fee. Unlike me you also shell out money for map-packs and season passes. Where is the logic in dissing one cheaper business model for more expensive alternatives?

Furthermore if you have no interest in a shooter outside of Titanfall why are you posting here to tell me this? Your clearly biased.

Edit: I'm not sure why I got two separate troll attempts for just being informative. This is in the general section of the forum (Not xbox) so GTFO if you just want to mention how few people have PS4s. This is not for you.

So you are the only one allowed to go into game threads and not like them or be impressed? Get off your high horse you hypocrite. Free to play is a super shitty business model that requires extensive grinding or paying for individual items. I would rather pay the full price then support a company that thinks that is a viable business model. You know since my time is worth more than money and I don't want to grind out weapons.

This wasn't a troll attempt you are just think everything is an attack on you when I was commenting on the game. Then you went to insult a game I enjoy ( lol irony? Wanna call someone out for trolling and then attempt to troll yourself?)

You never said anything about this game and have yet to do so. You just talked about it's type and how this thread was pointless. I don't even think you have played it before and if so you have yet to comment on it whatsoever. If you don't like a entire genre you don't need to let everyone know in every thread.

As for Titanfall it's a game I have played (I am a FPS fan) and had valid questions about it. You had no comments about gameplay and just said you hate F2P. Seems like a waste of your "valuable" time.

That's like me posting in a thread about a Spongebob game I never played just to let everyone know I fucking hate Spongebob and the business model of Nickelodeon.

I tried this game on PC and didn't like it, and I've merely mentioned my dislike for f2p maybe one other time before this.

I feel as if you have the reading comprehension of a 12 year old. I did not call the thread pointless but merely unnecessary due to the fact there's so few people on the site, and their would be a larger benefit in posting it in a thread where people talk about sony games and products instead of making its own thread.

Clearly I was right since no one gave a shit about this thread.

It's not pointless but it's unnecessary? If one person got useful information out of this thread then it's necessary in my eyes and somebody did.
You have mentioned disliking F2P multiple times and just felt like mentioning it again. Seems like a pointless and unnecessary gesture. Only way after the fact do you even mention you have played the game in question. Something you have NEVER stated in the 3-4 times I have tried talking to you about it. Frankly I call BS on that.

Honestly taking "Posting" advice from you makes about as much sense as taking English lessons from Heath. In fact he's made more sense lately then you. Last time I checked the closest you came to having any authority over what constitutes a valid thread was a April Fools joke.

That's you're thing not mine. I'm admittedly unpleasant and sardonic 100% of the time but at least you know what your going to get. I don't mask condescension behind swag jokes and homosexual remarks.

I really don't care anymore. Everyone knows Haze's attitude around here, he's generally mild to moderately trolltastic. Snapple on the other hand is obviously God's gift to the internet/forum/gaming world (or so he would like to believe).

It's funny though, I lol'ed at Haze's remark towards Snapple's homosexual remarks. I've always thought Snapple was gay.
