The first thing I'd recommend you do is narrow your topic down and be more specific than just "video games can be good for you". Focus on a specific area/aspect of gaming that you feel strongly about. It's better to concentrate your argument that way instead of spreading yourself thin by trying to cover multiple arguments.

The first thing I'd recommend you do is narrow your topic down and be more specific than just "video games can be good for you". Focus on a specific area/aspect of gaming that you feel strongly about. It's better to concentrate your argument that way instead of spreading yourself thin by trying to cover multiple arguments.
IRiSH is right, as with all other technologies it can be used for so many things (both good and bad- you'll want to address both of these in order to give your speech credibility depending on your grade level and the length of the speech anyway).
My suggestion - pick 3 good strong strengths of videogames such as builds relationships through games like Wii Sports, allows stress relief through fighting/shooter games and real world simulations such as military testing or even real world research as was done with the WoW blood plauge thing a few years back (I can provide a link to this if you'd like).
Next pick one detriment and show people's worries and say their unfounded through other research, perhaps causes rage and is falsely accussed of causing the Columbine shooting (you can link this to stress relieving if done properly).
Do all these things and you should be able to get a solid speech together, good luck, I did a very similar topic for my senior composition in high school and my final presentationn lasted about 45 minutes so there's material out there, just don't be afraid to research, start early and make sure your arguements are well thought out.
