Siingularity is a GREAT game, a mix of Bioshock, Wolfenstein, and L4D, the story is great, the graphics are great. The only downside is that the MP is heavily underpopulated and it is hard to find a match with people you werent just playing with. But I would buy it if I were you. 9/10 from me.

Personally, I found it very boring, but I have never liked FPS as a genre, even when they add interesting features.
Singularity does riff on BioShock a lot, especially in story presentation and the atmosphere of levels. Enemies are kind of boring but the powers you get are cool and the way you solve lite "puzzles" using the powers is actually pretty nifty.
The visuals are excellent, and I have heard multiplayer is very fun if you can get a match going.
If you like shooters as a genre and also like the ones that add a lt of stylistic flair like Doom 3, BioShock, Wolfenstein, etc, then you will definitely enjoy Singularity.
+edit+ and no, it's not "more bioshock 2 than bioshock 2" but it is more bioshock 1 than bioshock 2 was.

Well I phrased it that way because I look at the concept of BioShock 2, at least what we were all expecting, like it would take what was great about 1 and add on to it in a lot of ways without retreading the same territory.
Whereas, in reality, 2 forgot a lot of the stuff that made 1 good AND retreaded too much of it.
Singularity uses a lot of the same concepts presented in 1, and to the exact same effect, but doesn't really add anything new to them, instead getting the rest of its familiar content and style from other games.
It is definitely worth a try to anyone that enjoys shooters and likes some style in their games. While I did find it boring, I also have to say that it is a well-made title with a lot to offer.

And now I pop in with my late night opinion. Loved this game, most fun I've had with a FPS so far this year. Once I started playing it I didn't put it down. Played through it on hard my first play and I think I finished with like 695 out of 1k? The rest of the achieves are all online which isn't too bad when you have someone to play with but it's pretty boring to play by yourself. But since u don't have online right now u don't have to worry about that, definately great single player experience, altogether I'd give it a 9 as well. Reminded me of Bioshock mixed with Timeshift, Wolfenstein, and some CoD as in the guns handle pretty nicely.

Timeshift is AWESOME. Yet everyone I talk to says they hate it...
What's the point? Don't take everyones opinion so seriously! Take a risk, you'll either regret not playing it now or you'll regret buying it, but then learning that you hate that type of game..
Is that too philosophical?
