it was real nice all the speeches and the moments of silence and everything they did for him last night. but what absolutely DISGUSTED me was that they showed him flying into that pole not once, not twice but THREE times! once i understand, i expected to see it one time. but three times? come on. thats not only disgusting to watch, but i find it a little disrespectful.
Anyway, that course is WAY too dangerous. it has not protection from flying out of it if you wipe out, it sends you flying at speeds nobody has ever gone before, and something needs to be done to make it safer. having a tiny all ready troubled country like Georgia loose one of its few prides to a dangerous course just days before his Olympic dream is realized is not acceptable, and i hope they realize that.
Rest In Peace

Yeah I was reading about this. The fucked up thing about it is that the Olympic Commitee had received complaints prior to this tragedy about the course being dangerous. There have been multiple wrecks from other lougers during practice. Also, other lougers have stated that the event neds to be canceled or they need to change the course to make it safer. Many have said this is the fastest, most dangerous course they have been on.
RIP Nodar

record speeds have been set on this course. making it safer is what needs to be done. i'd hate to see and event canceled, no matter what. its just not fair for all the other competitors who worked so hard to get there and really want to race

REST IN PEACE NODAR! I hope the Georgian team kicks ass in his honor! Such a sad thing to have happen, especially during something that is supposed to bring everyone together for fun and competition. Just plain sad.
