You should hear game sounds and voice chat in both ears I do believe. Im not an expert but I dont see the sense in only having one ear for each thing.

I was actually having that problem with my old elite before I did the data transfer to my GOW slim. At least now I know what to do when it happens again, so I'm glad you brought it up.
I still have to transfer my licenses, but other than that my new box is ready to roll
