With as many albums as Lil Wayne sold, I don't think its matters if he's a rapper or a hip hop artist. He's a good artist and everything he touches turns to gold. Eminem is a bad ass rapper. You're story can make good music and make you one of the best if you tell it right. I wont lie though, he USE TO have tons of shit about his mom. But it was dope. Lil Wayne has sold a lot but Eminem sells more. He's of the artist of the decade (2000-2010) He out sold everyone in that time period with like 32 million. Biblical. Lil Wayne is okay. He comes up with some pretty good shit sometimes, but if you let him try to freestyle with no beat... he is absolutely terrible and has hardly any noticeable talent. (Just my opinion!!! dont kill me
)Among the best people people out now... I would go with Wiz Khalifa, Lupe, Kid Cudi, and Eminem. Everybody else is dry and mainstream as fuck.
I know its just my opinion but Eminem is hands down the best rapper alive, and when he dies, he will be the greatest ever.

yea detroit is right, em didnt mention his mom once in the recovery album. and i dont remember his mother being mentioned in the relapse album, but i only liked 2 songs off their anyways...everything else was a bit odd for em, to say the least. crack a bottle? shoot myself in the head much?

Personally, I don't listen to rap as much as I used to, considering how bad its dying. I really only listen to old-school rap (2 Pac, Biggie, N.W.A, Wu-Tang Clan, etc) and barely listen to the new rap today. The only active rapper I listen to is Tech N9ne, which is Underground rap in my book.
As for Eminem and Lil Wayne... I don't mind Eminem, but don't listen to him anymore, I only like his old albums such as the Eminem Show. And I can't stand Lil Wayne's work, like Eminem, I liked his old work, like The Carter 1, but since then, I haven't liked his work, it always about Pussy, Weed, and Money.
