Premium themes should come with the games

I hate paying for a theme. Even more so, I hate having to look around to find out what the GD thing looks like. Sometimes they display on Marketplace, but even then, how can you be sure? For example, MW2 has a couple of premium themes, but they show the same thing in the background.

So my question is... Where and how do you decide which premium theme you want to buy?

I'm not asking about free or the terrible looking themes offered for 100 MS pts or less. Just the premium ones, which seem to be 240 MS pts. I don't like having to pay for something that should come with the game, but I want my background to look good. The Dark Holidays theme is still on my dashboard because I don't know what I want to switch to next.

Themes are just as useless as Avatar clothes

EDIT: But yes they definetally should come with the game, or atleast as a preorder. lol

and it also seems that enough free or "free themes roll around to keep things fresh

lets take a look back at all the themes ive rooled through:

Bungie Day 08
Splosion Man
Perfect Dark Theme
Forza 3 LCE theme
New Years Theme
and the most recent one is the
Dantes Inferno Premium Theme

all for free

i think xbox.com has degraded like crazy over the last year or two.
you used to be able to log in and browse gamer pic packs and themes and all that. when i try it now (i'm using a shitty browser, of course) it doesn't work.

try looking up games there, man. use the search bar and you should find forums, downloads, etc. i just hope it's my horrible browser and not the site itself.

I normally don't buy themes but, sometimes I'll buy one.When I'm curious about the looks I youtube that theme,and most of the time someone as a video of it.

You know I never thought of that. That's a good idea, I occasionally will pick up a theme and I hate finding out it sucks AFTER I get it....lol

Some guy on x360a was talking about it so I checked it out and found most of them on there.Here is a link to a guys page and he has quite a few themes on it.

You know, I've used Youtube for all kinds of things, but it didn't cross my mind to use it for themes. Good thought and thanks for the link too.

I agree prem themes and avatar clothes should come with the games .Its bad enough we pay for all the DLC and then later it comes out in a game of the year edition. They could at least include it in the demo disk that u get with the mag.

Not only does it suck to pay for these things, there expensive as well. Some objects are over 5 bucks like a lightsaber, it be cool to have but why pay that much for basically nothing. I know 5 bucks isnt a lot but in context of what the object is, it is. This stuff should come with the game.

they're not required, themes and avatar clothes are just for looks, so there's really no good reason to complain about them. if you don't like the price, just don't buy it...

the price that these things are set at works, which is why it'll stay that way. think about it, why fix something that's not broken?

although i do agree that themes should come with games since there's no way you can really preview them. avatar items should stay the way they are, maybe make more unlockable ones however, since the only unlockable avatar items to my knowledge are Halo ODST and Left 4 Dead 2....
