Lmao, W@W did blow ass. The maps on MW2 blow ass too though. I'm gettin ready to trade that in towards BFBC2 in a week or so, Infinity Ward hasn't been doin much in the online community of MW2 to warrant me to want to keep the game and play it. No new maps and constant hacks and new glitches every week online.

I think they should just bring all the Cod4 maps into MW2, that would be awesome. I think I'll be getting rid of this game very soon though...

Yeah, ok so I have spent the past half an hour looking for my last rant about Gamestop. Couldn't find it - so here's the condensed version.
Gamestop is a BUSINESS. They need to make money - they lose money when they give trade in value of say $25 for a game like JUMPER which then tanks and they are left selling the game for $5 bucks later on. They pay taxes on inventory, they pay employee wages, and insurance - they also have to deal with theft - this is called overhead. Something you don't really have (other than postage) when you trade a game on the trading thread - if you sell it on craigslist you have no overhead.
There is nothing wrong with taking your games to Gamestop and there is nothing wrong selling them some other way.
I personally just traded in ME2 for $35, plus an extra 25% for preordering FFXIII and 10% for my edge card. That would be $48.12 for a game they will sell for $55. - that also assumes the game sells before they drop it in price. I also traded in the Godfather II for $20 (I paid $11 for it) a couple months ago to preorder ME2 - and I know the gamestop still has my copy of the game - which now sells for 17.99.
Don't hate a company because they make money off of you - its your own fault for not looking at your options

Go listen to Jackson's rap and learn yourself about some economics.they are a business....that takes advantage of those not informed of other means by which to sell their used games, they also use a liberal amount of deceitful marketing and tactics to draw people in, like offering a 20% extra trade in value! on a game they just lowered the trade in value by 20%. I've bought new games from them in the past, usually those exclusive editions they sometimes get, but now I've switched to Amazon who offers cheaper prices, faster shipping (that's free), and better return policy.
I remember when I was pretty young trading in Super Mario Kart and getting $.43 for it, I think that was the last game I traded in.
P.S. Gamestop: I'm never going to subscribe to GameInformer or pre-order Two Worlds II 6 months in advance. that is all.

But whose fault is it that they are uninformed? Many other businesses operate in similar fashion. I loved when circuit city was closing and selling off their stock - I went in and found launch games for 70% off - their original price.
It is the consumer's responsibility to know what to do. Just because an advertisement says something doesn't mean it is always as good as it sounds. So just because Best buy is having a sale I have to go in and shop there? Hell no! I know better, and I don't feel sorry for people who don't take the time to figure out what works best for them. I personally hate e-bay but if it works for Melissa - more power to her! She knows she has to pay a percentage to ebay for the listing and she knows it works in her best interest, that is her decision. My decision is to trade in games only when I get the most value for them. I mean really, would anyone on this site have given me 50 dollars for ME2 WITHOUT the Cerebrus code? And if they did I would still have to deal with getting the money and shipping it and everything else.
Gamestop is not the devil because they use marketing tactics that numerous other businesses use.

I agree, they are very convenient. I love the Edge card too, pay $25 for a year of it or whatever it is which gives u an extra %10 on trade ins or used games PLUS they tack on a year of Game Informer, which retails for about 24ish a year? By doing it through GS i now have like 3 years of Game Informer racked up on my account, haha win for me.
