Everyone keeps saying the machine looks great, they didn't show any tech, hardware, looks, or price yet all they showed was some unfinished demo type gameplay.

I'm still reserving judgement until I see it in action, a price tag, and actual gameplay, not some unfinished crap that could be all cinematics for all we know, other games have tried to fool us like that in the past.
"Lead system architect Mark Cerny says the PS4 features a supercharged PC architecture with a x86 architecture CPU, an enhanced PC GPU, and 8GB of GDDR5 system memory as well as a local hard drive."
That's not much to go off of since it's just one person saying it, there's no backwards compatibility, and the rest of the info is nothing but rumors.

what they did show looks promising, they can already improve on some pretty great ideas like the streaming and the play while downloading.

Well the games that Sony is planning for the PS4 sound cool. I'm looking forward to the new Infamous and Killzone games and Knack looks interesting. And the Blizzard partnership sounds interesting. I'm excited to give Diablo 3 a try. Of course I'm not sure if Diablo 3 and other Blizzard game will come to the Xbox, but all I know now is that it's defiantly coming to the PS3, so I'm happy about that.

The controller definitely looks top notch.

it might be just me but I don't like how the analog stick grip covers look makes the controller look like an upside down face.

It looks like the thumbstick covers are going to be more like the concave covers that M$ uses for the 360 controllers. Bummer. I always liked the mushroom covers of the previous PS controllers.

I think the controller looks good. And the analog sticks look just fine. But I do want to see how the main system looks and also want to see which corners they have to cut to make sure the system gets released this year. Also I hope they don't follow suit like Microsoft and have a dashboard ridden with shit advertisements.
