So far, everything I have read about this game tells me to wait 6 months before going anywhere near it.

I redboxed it for free last night. And it is a pretty damn good game. I usually hate stealth games but I am really enjoying it. Already ran into a few glitches but found ways around em so far.
Since I rented it after midnight, I have until tomorrow to finish it. Otherwise I will pick it up when its 20-25 bucks.

I hear that the game wants you to sneak around alot and I hear it is short but the developers expect you to play through it several times using different approaches. This sounds like a Hitman type game to me. I HATE hitman and games that make you sneak around the whole time altogether.... so I'll probably cancel my reservation and put it towards something else. I might pick this up when I hear more later down the road.
The game can be very short if you just go straight to the main objective in each mission. What adds time is making sure you explore the area and find what it has to offer. New ways to complete the main objective open up if you just search around a bit.
Anyways I'm really enjoying the game. I love using all the stuff they give you to kill people haha Shame the achievements seems dead set on stopping you from doing that. Oh well, I'm just saying screw them and screw the chaos thing, I'm playing the why I want to.
you have to do 2 playthroughs for the 1000 anyway, because in one you need to kill mad dudes and the other little to none.

If you're doing it in two, its not little to none, it is none!
I did my stealth/no upgrade/no kill/fracking frustrating playthrough already. Now on to the slaughter everyone in sight playthrough! This one should be a bit easier, and not that I didn't have fun on the other one, I literally killed no one in a game about an assassin.....didn't feel right!

how's the dunwall trials dlc? I recently picked this up again and was wondering if it's an easy 200 GS/worth purchasing.

Finally got around to playing this and it's all I've played for the last few weeks. When reading the reviews and comments, I wasn't so thrilled about the prospect of having to do a super stealthy run thru but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I love a game that will give you a reason to play thru it again *shaking fist at BioShock infinite*. The Knife of Dunwall DLC was fun. Short but fun. Well I guess it's not that short. It's 3 good missions so compared to Corvo's story, it's almost half a game. Any idea if there will be any future DLC? I'd kinda like to learn more about The Visiter or Stranger or whatever the hell he's called.
