new 360 issues

so i got the new slim 360 the other day cause i needed a new one. but ive had a few bugs pop up here and there. so here's my issues, ive been noticing it gets real hot, real fast. and i almost want to say it overheats at the fan. another thing is my games have been starting to freeze as of late. mainly my DL'd games. so im wondering if im spooked over nothing, or is it something i really should look into. might i add its only 4 days old. are any other slim 360 owners experiencing this?

I read a review to where the fan really keeps the 360 slim cool....i bought one and have to say that mine hasn't gotten real hot since I have installed it.

I was just at Gamestop the other day and I was wondering if those worked or helped. My slim pushes out a lot of heat as well. I'll be picking one up for sure now.

Yeah I have the fan thing for my slim also. It works great. Before mine would get hot but not overheat or freeze games

Nah dude, like Deaf said. That, and I was also questioning whether or not I should get it also because of the same reason, but then I Read some reviews on it and apparently it works better then the old ones that came out.

I heard that there was a sensor in the new Xbox to where if it gets too hot it will automatically shutdown

maybe its my house. im at a friends and his house is colder than hell frozen over, and my xbox is only semi-mild hot. only puts out a little heat. im still a bit worried, but all in all, the thermostat is my friend in this situation i guess. but im going to look into that fan. might get it today.

The old version have that option built in to them as well. You get all four red lights and are unable to power the unit on until it cools down. Then you get a message on your screen telling you that your unit over heated and to ensure it has proper ventilation and so on.
