I think people keep buying them for the popularity. People want to play what everyone else is playing. Sure you might think they get worse every year, but they are still decent. Its still Call of Duty, and CoD has the formula that people like. Its fast, smooth, and you can just hop on and have instant success.

I liked the MW series. At least the mp aspect. I liked single player too but it was kinda short. I could care less about storyline when it comes to FPS games. At first I didn't think I would like Black Ops but right now its all I play. However, Gamestop is offering a poster for those who preorder. Sorry, but its gonna take more then a poster that's gonna end up in the trash.

I dunno what to say bout MW3. On one side, I've enjoyed the MW series from the campaign story to MP. On the other, Black Ops was a letdown for the entire CoD series( at least in my opinion). I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'll be waiting for more updates.
