MW2 Threads

I suggest that any new MW2 threads be deleted/locked whatever you decide and the OP get like a 1 week ban from posting for first offence and a permaban for subsequent offences. The search tool will definitely lead them to a thread that is exactly what they posted or very similar that they can necro to post whatever it is they want to.

they should get a 1 week BAN for the first offense! good god your are a heartless asshole. ive done shit 20x worse then making a buncha repeat threads, and worse ive ever gotten was a 2 day SUSPENSION! give em a warning first offense, then a 1 or 2 day suspension for 2nd, and then maybe a week or perma ban for 3rd...but not 1 week ban 1st, then permaban 2nd. thats just being a heartless douchemuffin

Wow, agreed with taco on the heartless part. No one person person should be banned OR suspended for posting a thread. If the thread bothers you, just don't click it. It's that plain and simple.

You might want to change your statement to MW2 thread or any UNoffensive thread in general... Because I've seen people banned for offensive/distasteful threads..

I won't be scouring the threads for duplicates. I also doubt I'll be bringing on any staff members to do it either.

I might try to add a step to the post thread script that searches the database for related topics and offers them to the user before they submit. Hopefully that would prevent duplicate threads at their source.

In any case, creating a duplicate thread is just an organizational issue. Ridiculing new members is a far more shameful act.

Just as a note: It does not matter if a thread is a duplicate thread. Eesh. I personally am very against having any sort of punishment for someone who makes a duplicate thread.

If people would just not post in said duplicate threads they would die on their own. It would be a lot easier if it does bother you that much to maybe message someone who can close the thread and put a link to a different thread. I'm not against doing that, but I don't always have the time.

Its not even really the fact that so many people hate it as opposed to liking it on here but more the fact that EVERY day there are like 3-4 new duplicate threads made it seems. It was on a surge like 2 months ago then it dwindled down and now its startin up all over again. Mayb we'll get lucky soon and Jackson will implement that new feature Mini was talking about into the search bar.

That feature is already implemented, just check the Zelda thread Meta put up.

thank you durtie!!! im not the only one standin up for the new guys...ok, so theyre new. we all know that. they prolly dont even think about using the search feature, because they dont know about it. they prolly just think 'well if i make a thread, itll be no prob!' or something like that. so they make one, get flamed to fuckery because theres so many people on here that despise mw2 and flame anyone who makes mw2 threads. now, is mw2 overall a great game? well....no, not really. it does get old after so long, and its really only truly fun if you do private matches w/ friends. but that doesnt mean you flame anyone who makes a thread!! mw2 was on of the biggest sold games EVER on the XBOX 360, and i think here at XBOX america, even if you dont like the game personally, you can VERY EASILY just, oh idk...IGNORE it? you dont HAVE to click on the fuckin thread. so YOU guys are the dumbasses and/or ignorant fucks, because you sit there and bitch them out and you dont even have to go in the thread in the first place!! or, you can also very easily find another mw2 thread of a similar topic, link them to that post, and get a mod to close it.

so STOP BITCHING THEM OUT when you can VERY EASILY fix the fuckin problem! good god anyone who flames them is a fucking idiot, and i dont care who that offends. its true. you dont have to go in the thread, so just dont!
