This looks more like a fan made film. No official trailers or previews are that long.
I don't mean to double post guys.
This movie had a couple well known actors, the creators of this "fan made film" would have to put out some pretty good cash for the guys who played the detective and scorpion. BUT, if this is a fan made film, I will be very pissed, lol.
But there have been official trailers this long before, the ones you see sitting on the couch aren't that long, but every once in a while when I go to the theatre, I see a long ass trailer.....You never know
and we will never know until it's time to know about this movie being real or not.

I highly doubt this is fan made, in fact I'd tear off my arm and smack my own face in shame if it is.

Forget whether Baraka is black or not.. DREAD LOCKS!? I mean, REALLY? The guy's bald with INSANE teeth, not little fangs and shit. Plus, it has to be a new movie.. It can't be a game with Cage being dead.
Also, this means no Jax or Sonya in the tournament, it sounds like.. What the hell? And COME ON, shouldn't Jax have that Metal arm? Ugggh.. I'd watch the movie because it'd look fucking AMAZING for non-Mortal Kombat.. But I really hope if this is a real trailer, that the kombatants will be in their outfits like most of the first 2 (shitty) movies.

I just heard from a good buddy of mine up in NYC that this is warner bros starting the hype train for the game which they are gonna announce at E3.
Me personally would like to see this as a movie, but either way it looks like it's going to be awesome!!

Alright guys, I'm double posting because I stumbled across some information regarding the video....check it out
What is Mortal Kombat: Rebirth?
Source: Latino Review June 8, 2010
Speculation has run rampant today with the debut of a short "Mortal Kombat" film (subtitled "Rebirth") that made its way anonymously to YouTube. Now, Latino Review reports that the film is, as many theorized, a test for a potential R-rated film reboot of the video game franchise.
The short is directed by Kevin Tancharoen, the director of last year's Fame, and features a cast that includes name actors like Michael Jai White (Jax), Jeri Ryan (Sonya Blade), Matt Mullins (Johnny Cage), Lateef Crowder (Baraka) and Ian Anthony Dale (Scorpion) with fight choreography by Larnell Stovall.
Though there is no guarantee that these actors will play the characters in a feature film version or even that a feature film will actually happen, the short is already a huge success online, with the word "Kombat" already a trending topic on Twitter.
