I was also excited to hear about this. I am going to guess the new game is a prequel. Hopefully we get a lot of info on monday. On a side note.....Twitter seems to always break news first.....I am glad I use it so often.

Doubt its a prequel. Probably stuff going on at the same time - see the Reavers in the background of the pics?
The Pendulum wars ended before E-day - so can't be much of a prequel...
Anyone else think the silhouette looks a bit like Aaron Griffin? Doubt its him since it looks like he's in some sort of COG uniform....but still.

I can't remember the last time I saw you on Xbox playing anything but Gears.
lol! I played Max Payne 3 for a few hours last week. I'll be done with gears this weekend.
On topic: I was hoping for a mini-prequel among the dlc, but I don't think I want a full game prequel. I'll still buy it either way though.

In book "The Slab", Adam was believed dead after his house collapsed, but was taken out of the rubble by Onyx Guards before being escorted to Azura.
If it is Adam, we'll be able to learn much about his contact with the Myrrah and also learn a lot about his wife's findings in the Locust tunnels, so it fits in perfectly with a prequel storyline.
Edit: Dont forget about Adam Fenix hands Baird a disc in the Hotel before he dies. He tells him, "This will explain everything."

Well I would agree it might be a prequel to Gears 3, but it won't be a prequel to the entire trilogy, that's all I was getting at
