Monkey Island SE half-off til Monday!

I almost missed it but this week's deal for XBL Gold members is 50% off The Secret of Monkey Island SE, making it 400 pts or $5 until next Monday.

The LeChuck's Pirate Hat and Cotton Swab avatar items are also half-off until then.

If you are a fan of adventure games or even just curious, you should definitely check this game out! They did an awesome job of updating the graphics and adding voice overs, and you can even switch back to "classic visuals" with a single button press.

You have till Monday to decide, so I would say grab the trial and see what you think.

Adventure games are all about exploring, solving interesting puzzles and experiencing an engrossing story. This game in particular has some funny dialog and some really wacky puzzles; luckily, they have included a hint system in the special edition in case you get stuck.

I only got to play a little bit of the original version of this game, but I have played many other adventure games in my time, including a lot from LucasArts, and Secret of Monkey Island is regarded as one of the best.

Personally, I have been waiting a long time for this to go on sale again, so I'm freakin' jazzed.

Yeah I picked this game up last time it was on sale. Kind of reminds me of the Kings Quest games (if you played those). Pretty easy completion and pretty funny game. Though using the controls does take a little time as it was a game for the computer originally.

I've read somewhere they are going to release the second one to the XBLA as well.

I played the Monkey Island game that they had for the PS2 and I have been into the series ever since then, I can't wait for the second installment to come out so I can play it for the first time.....AND get achievements for it....What more can you ask for?!

Another one that I hope they put out is Day of the Tentacle, the original Sam and Max Hit The Road would be awesome....and whatever the name of the adventure game of the skeleton dude, the name for that one escapes me

And dude, if they put in Day of the Tentacle, that would be fucking awesome!! I love that game, that was the first adventure game that made me literally LOL.

And yes, it's been confirmed that LeChuck's Revenge SE is being developed. It is supposed to be released sometime this summer.

I have just recently gotten into the adventure games, probably about 3 1/2 years ago, well thats not real recent, but I haven't been into them quite as long as a lot of you guys have.

Sam and Max Hit The Road, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and Day of the Tentacle were the first ones that I have ever played....Laughed..........My..........Ass.......Off, LoL!

Can't Wait for LeChucks Revenge, I hope they put the one that is on PS2 on the XBOX arcade, but I doubt that will happen.
