The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package is coming to xbox live March 30th!

MW2 Multiplayer Weekend coming 3/12-3/15
Microsoft is unlocking Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer to Xbox LIVE Silver members for this weekend only, March 12th through the 15th.

Get ready for new avatar items, theme, and picture packs coming soon

New custom Xbox 360 MW2 content is on the way, including:
Riot shield - Make your avatar unstoppable with your own riot shield.
Night vision goggles - You can see them, but they can't see you.
Army Ranger uniform - Rangers lead the way!
And much more!

are the avatar items going to be free or are they just going to be added to the current list of stuff in the MW2 store?

I'm not sure yet. Think will be add to store have to wait till march 30th.

Hmm...would be interesting if I still cared about this overrated game. But I think I will stick with Dice's free solution to 'mapathy', another free map pack and no glitchers ruining the leaderboards.

The Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: "Bailout," a multi-level apartment complex; "Storm," an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery; "Salvage," a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. Two legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare return, including "Crash," a war-torn urban environment; and "Overgrown," which features a massive dry creek bed
