Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond

To people who loved the character matt hazard, dont forget his arcade game released this week.

Its in the vein of contra (2d shooting) with the signature wit of eat lead.

I cant wait to play it tonight, the demo was fun. But I miss the voice acting from eat lead (currently 940/1000 in it, having a hard time on maximum hazard)

Hell yeah, I grabbed the demo today and can't wait to try it.

I really enjoyed the writing/story of Eat Lead despite the sometimes wonky controls.

lol somewhat wonky is generous, but yes, it was some kick ass writing in that game. It cracks me up everytime i play it.

Its hazard time once the kid is in bed !

I almost peed bullets laughing when I got to the J-RPG/Final Fantasy-type fight with that one guy, they did such an outstanding job.

Yeah, at first I was just going to go through it a single time on Maximum Hazard using that code, but after the 4th level I couldn't tolerate the frustration anymore. Once I lowered the difficulty the effed up controls and sticky cover system were much more tolerable and I really enjoyed playing all the way through. Some day I should go back and finish on Max Haz, but I'm thinking about that ship level with the tentacles and... ugh...

I tried the demo of this and thought it was pretty fun. I've been wanting to play Eat Lead for some time now. thought it sounded funny, even if it didn't have the best game play.

Eat Lead was one of the most original games due to its genius concept and writing. If it had more polished gameplay, easily could have been a GOTY contender. problem was they didnt work on the basic functionality as much as they should have.

But the 2d arcade hazard game seemed to control well

The chievie arent staggeringly hard or so it would seem. Im on stage 3 atm, missed the special stage 1 chievo cause i was a dbag but got the special stage 2 chievo.

And it plays kick ass, they did a better job gtting 2d shooting right lmao

The majority of Achievements in Eat Lead are very easy and come from the story or things you'll do anyway (blowing up destructible items, etc.).

I'm proud to say I 1000'd Eat Lead, Maximum Hazard was a bitch but so rewarding when I finally beat it. I'll for sure be buying this arcade game.

I played the demo for Blood Bath and Beyond, it's really fun. One of those intense shooters where you really gotta pay attention to everything that's going on, but the controls are good & tight so if you die it's your fault and not bad game design. Plus the visuals are good.

2.5D games are awesome, I hope more get made.

Yeah except for a few random ones like get 50 kills with each weapon. Here's a thread at X360A that tells you what you need to do for each of them.
