First it was gone, then it came back and soon it will be gone again. As previously reported, the DLC for both Marvel Ultimate Alliance games will be delisted from the marketplace for good starting January 1st, 2011 as Activision has decided not to renew their licenses to the Marvel characters. The full 1250 in the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance will always still be attainable via the Gold edition of the game (if available in your region), though its sequel will soon drop to 1000 achievable as it was confirmed by Vicarious Visions that part deux will not receive the same treatment.
As a bonus, the DLC for the first game has been put back up until the promotion ends. Your best bet is to grab the Playable Hero/Villain Pack Combo Deal for 800 MSP or grab them individually for 480 MSP each if for some reason you already had one, or only want half the achievements. You can of course also grab the Character & Sim Mission Pack (800 MSP) and Juggernaut Playable Character (160 MSP) for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Only the Character & Sim Pack is needed for the achievemnts in MUA2, but Juggy is a beast and makes the game much simpler on the whole; very worth the extra two bucks.
Again, all the DLC mentioned above will be forever delisted at the end of the year, so grab it now while you can if you still need to finish up either game, or plan to in the future.
