Late to this thread since I don't post on here anymore but I really think this is funny. People hate Lil Wayne because he's fuckin smart people and envy his wealth. Is he a good rapper? NO! He markets to the white suburban kids of America who think Marijuana is the coolest shit since Timmy's new big wheel. He made a career on nothing but bullshit, while changing every so often in order to appeal to whoever is buying music gangster -> Skater. The the label Young Money... The only reason they have such success is do to extreme marketing/radio time. I mean how many ways can you really say drug, sex, and money. Well, look at the label; Drake - appeals to women and men (who wanna be like him), Nikki role model for women and dudes wanna bang her, Wayne how some how appeals to the main stream, and then the rest of the garbage label that falls somewhere in between. If selling your soul was all it took to make it in the rap game then there would be a lot more rappers. As stated before all these rappers talk about selling their souls/illuminati it's all about keeping people talking about them especially in the rap game no one wants to go from popular single to being as irrelevant and hated as Soulja Boy. The only Rappers that I know of who have been straight about all this shit is Tupac (Killuminati meaning kill the rumor about it as it's weighing down the black community) AND Kendrick Lamar who says illuminati is the biggest racist party. It probably exist but they don't control the world I mean really? Don't get me wrong I wish a demon would be responsible for the plague that is running through the Hip hop game but, there are talented artist who are starting to make it into spotlight.
