Now that I'm done with my rant, what is going on in your life? Good and bad. Anything special?

Oh man its been a ride these last few months. WTF?!?! Let's see. Things started back in September. My wife left me on September 6th. That was tough lemme tell ya. I was left with paying for an entire household with a single income. Ramen and tuna fish sammies became my two best friends. But I managed. Got rid of all my bad debt and now the only bills I have are household stuff like mortgage, power, direct TV, that kinda thing. Then some flooding took out a portion of my back yard fence which is gonna cost a little over a grand to fix. I thought that won't be much once I get my taxes back.... NOPE.... I owe about the same but didn't make nearly as much this year as last. Met an awesome woman who decided to join me and my damaged goods on this crazy journey. Alls good right? Not so fast... Water heater went out earlier this week. New girl friend came thru. She found a great water heater for an even better price AND her plumber/uncle installed it. All I paid for was the water heater and parts. Yay there. Now the big problem. My little cat is VERY sick and I can't afford the vet bills. He was old when I got him 8 years ago. I don't wanna throw away a bunch of money just to have the vet say there's nothing we can do. So I'm torn... I don't wanna have him put down but I don't wanna see him suffer. Ugh life.... Bittersweet to say the least.

Where did you meet your new girl?
I'm doing fine. Reality tv gigs are still doing well but still going through investors to get a movie funded.

Darth!! Good to see you back.
I totally understand the 'wife leaving' event. Kinda went through the same myself.
As for the cat, well, I think it's time to let go. I don't want to seem heartless but if he's old already you should ask yourself how much time are you buying?
When I was high school - oh, so long ago - I had a Schnauzer and he was my constant companion. He was a really great dog and I loved him. Fast forward 2 years and I am in the US Navy on the other side of the planet and I call home My dog was having massive back problems and I wasn't there but I understood he was suffering. I asked my parents to let him go. It sucked. Worst of all, I hadn't seen him in 6 months and I was never going to see him again. But he wasn't crying and in constant pain anymore. He was 5 and it killed me inside. He a lot of good years left but there was only so much I could do.
I hope that makes sense.

I feel like you should at least pay for the vet bill to check out the cat before you write him off... But yeah if he's 15 or up, you're probably not looking at much time in the best case scenario.
And damn, Mo- 5? That's not even middle aged for a dog! π Shit- I have back pain, keep your parents away from me!
My cat was diagnosed at 6 months old with an incurable disease. The disease caused a secondary inflammation of one of his eyes. He had to have eye drops and prednisone pills since then, and the vets didn't think he'd live to be one, but he has his 10th birthday next month! The disease never mutated to the fatal form, and all we have had to deal with was the continued eye issues he's had. He needs to get it taken out, but I can't bring myself to have it done... He's my baby and that's so gross. π Plus the cat ophthalmologist wants $2000 to do it. π€

I'm so sorry about your cat A little over a year ago, me and my family had to put our dog down because she had horrible cancer, and we didn't want her to suffer the chemotherapy treatments. So I know how it feels, making a big decision like that. Best of luck to you and your cat!

Sorry to hear all the bad news man. When I was 16 we had a Rottweiler that got mean and started biting at kids, so my dad decided we had to put him down. For a few years he told us all that he took him to the pound and another family took him. I think it sucked more dealing with losing him to another family and then a few years later finding out he was put down.
And I COMPLETELY understand the water heater part, just replaced mine too, mother fuckers are not cheap, and cost about the same to have installed as they do to buy them.
On top of that, my roof leaks in my bedroom, found that out when my ceiling caved in on me. Fixing it this time of year is super expensive, for weather reasons, so I went the route or a temporary tarp until Spring and then a full fix then.

Update--- had to put my little buddy down. My girl said he fell several times today and when I got home he was way worse then he had been. He was weezing and his meows were strained. Thanks Mo... it's good to be back after such a long hiatus. To answer your question SeanP... My new girl and I went to high school together and we reconnected thru Facebook a few months back.

Sorry to hear about the cat. I've always had pets around me and it's always hard when one of them passes away.
Weren't you the one who adopted a dog (boxer maybe) a few years ago? If so, how is it?

Two weeks ago I had to put my oldest dog down. She had surgery scheduled for tomorrow, but she had a turn for the worst. I took her to the emergency vet and they said the best case scenario she would only have six months. More likely she would die during the procedure. You feel like they are your children and you should do everything you can to prolong their life, but I know now I was being selfish. She lived a long life and her time was coming. Now instead of dropping her off tomorrow I'll be picking up her remains. Don't tell yourself forget about the money and do whatever to save my baby. Just do what's right by your cat. Spending the money won't make you feel any better I promise.

Probably... I have adopted 3 Boxers. The newest one I got a few years ago is deaf. All 3 are doing really well.

Yes. If I'm not mistaken it was also white. You were asking for name ideas and I suggested the name Stormy. What did you end up naming her?

I did name her Stormy and she is all white. She has what's called seasonal alopecia. Her hair falls from her sides. Took her to the vet a while back and they took some samples and said that it not a bug deal.
