The only thing putting me off is the fact that you apparently need a lot of open space to play, which I don't have.

I'm glad to see you guys are enjoying the Kinect, but I finally got to try a retail one versus the early test unit I played with before, and if you don't notice that massive lag between your movements and the games, you must be high.
They are going to have to "fix" something before any real games come out, or no real games will ever come out for it. Not that I am insulting Kinectimals or Adventures, they are fine for what they are, but right now you couldn't play something like Call of Duty or Street Fighter with it.
I'm not trying to be a troll, I am just a little butthurt by the direction MS is going with all these. I wish they had stayed with the original Kinect unit that had its own processor, kept it back in development, maybe first releasing it on Black Friday, and maybe had it for $200 with a game bundled in.
If the unit had better performance I would go ahead and buy it now and rent the party/casual games until more core stuff came later.

I agree it really has no issues with lag for me. I was shocked because I guessed there would have been. I am really impressed with it and think the potenial is limitless. It really is exciting to see what they can do with this.

funny story, went to pay off call of duty today, and i asked the gamestop employee if by some ridiculous reason they had some in. Good thing I did because I picked up a kinect and dance central, both are awesome. I just need kinect sports now.

No lag here either, just got mine this morning and have had no problems so far... except my lungs. I just realized how bad smoking is for me when I was weezing after 4 boxing matches, I hate being old.

I just picked one up last night, and can report, mine has no lag either, between Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals and Kinect Sports (Which this game effin rocks). I am extremely happy. I will also be picking up Dance Central as I am loving the demo of the game. Highly impressed with this piece of work!
