If (insert console name here) had achievements....

Recently I had the chance to go down memory lane and play some of my favorite titles on the Nintendo 64. As I played these, I wondered what it would be like if the Nintendo 64 had achievements. So, I made up a list for Mario Kart 64. Enjoy.

Mario Kart 64 (200G)

1) 1st Place Racer (35G)
Place 1st in all four cups

2) Indecisive (25G)
Win a race as all eight racers

3) Maybe Next Time (20G)
Beat your best time in Time Trials

4) Weapons of Fast Destruction (40G)
Use every power-up once.

5) It's-A-Me! (5G)
Win a race as Mario

6) Out of Mario's Shadow (5G)
Win a race as Luigi

7) Just Peachy (5G)
Win a race as Princess Peach

8) Pretty Fast For A Turtle (5G)
Win a race as Bowser

9) You Dirty Ape! (5G)
Win a race as Donkey-Kong.

10) Blue Shell of Doom! (5G)
Use the blue-spiked shell (any mode)

------------SECRET------------
11) Not Fast Enough (25G)
Get flattened by the train in Kalimari Desert

12) How'd he do that? (25G)
Use the short-cut on Koopa-Troopa Beach.

It takes a bit to do the math and make sure it comes out to 200 while staying with 12 achievements, but I had fun making them.

lol not bad, not bad at all.
i think i would have gotten them all except "just peachy" if the N64 had achievements.

i think "how'd he do that?" would be cooler if unlocked on rainbow road though. that shortcut was much harder to pull off if my memory serves me.

That shortcut was beastly though... You had to jump at just the right time otherwise you'd fall off the map and oops..

Im not sure, but I think retail games are allowed up to 99 achievements, ie The Orange Box

let it be known that i reserve the rights to do a list for the following games here when/if i get a chance to:

Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner (PS2)
Xenosaga Ep 1, 2, & 3 (PS2)

i'll just throw Final Fantasy X in the air since i know someone (SetsunaFSeiei) will come around and make one LOL
