I think my Mom Strongly Dislikes me

Well it all started back on mothers day where we were having a Joke arguement, an out of nowhere she says "you're supposed to be nice to me it's mothers day" my response was "I don't care" and at that point I walked away for a second, When I came back she was crying, she says " do you like seein me cry?" at that point I had deep guilt, but I saw mothers day as any other day and I told her that, after that she tells m to shut up and I reply "I can state my own opinion if I want" then she pretty much told me to shut the fuck up...And I just walked away.

Ever since then she has been ignoring me as much as possible and even threatened to punish me.

I have no idea what to say to her to make her feel better.
And she's not just in a bad mood, because my brother and cousin are over and she is being really happy, but talks to me in a "w/e" Tune

Any tips? I was just stating my opinion...

Granted you were just stating YOUR opinion, but to your Mother, Mother's Day is a big thing. It is the day where your kids are supposed to show you (the MOM) how much you mean to them. Try seeing it from her point of view.

I am not saying that her actions are right, she is being, not trying to upset you here, quite childish in her actions. Maybe you should try talking to her again, and get her a little gift or card to show her that she does mean something to you bro.

You see it as any other day, but it's special to her so telling her you didn't care hurt her feelings. Yeah you have a right to your own opinions, but in this instance you may want to apologize for voicing that particular one on that particular day.

I heard this on the radio recently, they had people call in who felt they were unloved on mothers day. Sorta unrelated but Did you know the day after mothers day is the 2nd biggest day that married women go looking for a new man? Valentines day being the first.

haha my mom flipped a HUGE shit on me on mothers day because she was yelling at my dad, i said something, and she took her anger out on me the rest of the day. you need to understand that woman have a lot more emotions than most men. once you realize this, you then need to learn how to talk to woman so that you please their emotional needs, but don't go overboard.

that may sound sexist, or stupid, or whatever, but i promise its really worked for me thus far, and i thin its pretty true for the most part

Homemade gifts and cards from your kids mean more than a store-bought gift if you ask me. It's something they decide to do on their own instead of something they felt obligated to do.

I mean I care for her, love her, and respect her, but I just wanted to state that to her because she said I HAVE to be nice to her. But women can be women, I want to show her I appreciate everything she does, and that I love her, But I also don't want to go back on my beliefs. Just to be clear This was the first year she's ever even cared about these kind of days, we were raised like that no one in our family really cares about these kind of days. But alas I did hurt her feelings and I have felt really bad this whole week... but I don't know what to get/make her...suggestions?

rewording that. you more openly show emotion. we all feel the same things, im just 99% sure woman show it more often. im not being sexest or anything at all when i say this, in fact my health teacher told me this once, but woman "have more emotions" because of their estrogen. according to her, estrogen causes people to act more emotional and have more mood-swings. men don't SHOW their emotions as much i don't think, so they have a harder time understanding the way woman feel. i can easily be wrong but this is what i currently believe

Well I will have to wait until tommorow to decide on what to do. Thinking of writing her a poem...Hmm that "mushy" feeling is showing a little
