How long did it take everyone to beat Bioshock 2?

Loved the single player but I actually think it was shorter than the first. I played my first playthrough on normal and got every achieve except for the one secret that I missed and I found well over the required 100 diaries and all the power to the peoples(With no guide) but I still beat the game in under 8 hours. All the reviews I've seen said it should take between 10-15 hours for one playthrough but I seemed to fly through the game with no vita chambers with relative ease. The lack of a final boss was also quite disappointing, I'm going to start up my hard playthrough sometime this week after I get around to beating Dantes Inferno. Anyone else find the single player too short and easy?

I don't think anyone needed a guide for the audio and power to the people stations. I only missed 1 achievement and beating it on hard mode. Took me about 6 hours to beat the game.

For somereason I didnt get 100 of em. But I still have to play through one more time, ill be more alert this time around.

It definitely took me between 10-15 hours for my first run-thru but I took my sweet-ass time and still didn't find 100 diaries or all the upgrade stations.

I'm alomst done going thru it again on hard and using a guide this time.

edit:Click for Guide Here's the guide I'm using. I don't know how I missed so many of them my first time thru.

Exactly, same here, seemed like the audio diaries weren't as well hidden in this one not to mention you can check each location over again before u board the train and leave the area for good. Seemed like the game flew by and I was expecting a cool boss fight at the end and then the game just ends.

What kind of big boss fight were you really expecting with Dr. Lamb? edit: My guess is they made it a little shorter so it wouldn't seem like a real grind to run thru it multiple times for the different endings.

I don't know, I was at least expecting to fight some kind of final splicer that she had made for backup or a final plan or something. Any kind of cool looking final monster would have been better to fight than a one minute wave of enemies that barely took any of my health away. I chose to save Gil so she could have even like unleashed him from that tank that he was in and he could have been like a giant creature or somethin haha. That would have been cool to see that decision affect your final fight.

about 18 hours total and yeah I didn't need a guide to finding the audio logs. It was kinda hard not to miss 100 out of the 128 that there are in the game and the whole time I was like wow I must have missed a bunch of the power to the people stations because i was thinking that I would be able to max out all my weapons but nope still got it lol.

I did it in 9 hours with no Vita-chambers. I found all the weapon upgrade stations but didn't get 100 logs which surprised me because I thought I was exploring pretty thoroughly. I forgot to research the stupid Big Sisters before it was too late

I plan to go through again on Hard and make sure to get 100 thingers this time and all the research.

Lmao at the spoiler. I got the last research on the very last fight with the 2 big sisters, got an A+ on the one and hit level 3 research, then got an A+ on the second one and got the achieve, kinda lucked out
