I have been lucky to have all the recent releases sent to me. But, now that I work at Gamestop, I can take advantage of the borrowing program from the store at no cost, and usually play all the new stuff, because of folks trading in merchandise, the day of the games release day.

I just recently started Gamefly up again after almost a year off. I started it back up just for College football and Madden cause I decided I didn't want to shell out 60 bucks for either of those games cause I always get tired of em after a couple months and trade em in. Also GameStop's bullshit policy on used games is another reason why I went back to Gamefly.
GameStop won't put used games on the shelf until 30 days after they've been traded in. I was gonna pick up a used copy of NCAA 11 when I got Mafia II and they didn't have any available when we all know they probably had a bunch of used copies that people traded in when they got Madden last month. So the soonest you can find a used copy might be the 10th or 11th of September and then they'll probably slap a 55.95 used sticker on there and you can pay the keep it price on Gamefly for 44.95.

Your Gamestop sucks then, The Minute I get used game trade ins, I label them, check them in, gut them, and up goes the cases on the wall, making them readily available. Like yesterday, already got a trade in for the new spiderman game, which was released on tuesday. I labeled that thing, and got it immediately ready for the shelves, so a customer can just buy it preowned and not pay the new price.

yeah that sucks man, it is something local in your area, probably to let the douchebags working their, play the games, before they put them on the shelf, as there should be ZERO reason, for them to hold them. As soon as they are traded, they should be checked in, and put on the shelf.
However you are correct about the used game prices. The only ones that dont hold their used values are sports games.
however MW2, is still 54.99 which is CRAP. it should be like 20 bucks now because of how many copies were sold and released.

Last time I was at the GameStop I used to work at, I was talking to my old SM and he mentioned that they now had to hold used trade ins for 7 days before he was allowed to put them on the shelf... This was like 2 weeks ago, so idk. It may possibly be something the company is trying out in a few areas to see how it goes. I personally find it completely stupid, but if you've ever worked for that company, the upper management is fucked in the head.

Gamefly is pretty awesome, but i have been doing the Blockbuster one cuz they are cheaper. Like 9 bucks for the one disc. The only bad thing is that they don't have as many games and the new ones take 90 days to be able to be mailed out.

I work at the one in Rio Rancho. Our store is rated in the top 250 in the company out of 4000+ stores. And we are slowly climbing the ladder to get to the top. Just have to weed out some weak links here and there.

I was over at Gamestop today, met Junior Mint, cool guy, but they had a lot of new titles on the wall for purchase. Nothing released in the past couple weeks, but that's expected.

Every game I have bought from gamely has had all codes,manuals,etc when I got them. Got Beatles:Rockband that still had the code for the avatar shirt in it. They never rent out anything except the game itself, so all pre-packaged items should still be present or redeemable.
