Final Fantasy 13

OK so I know this game has been out for quite some time now but it maybe the longest and hardest game I've ever played! Currently on chapter 8 out of I think 13 and already have 13 hours of gameplay. Wish me luck! Lol

It's not long for a Final Fantasy at all. It's only hard in that you have to fight every boss fight a single way without flexability. And it's most definitely the worst final fantasy ever made. Good luck though!

One question though. How is it you find it terribly long, even when it has no exploration and minimal party interaction. It's litteraly point A to point B, cutscene, cutscene, next level.

I agree. It's completely linear. I was SO disappointed in this game. It's another game that I need to finish and is gathering dust on my shelf.
I take it neither of you have finished the game? The linear part is only the first couple of chapters... The "tutorial" bit, if you will. It opens up at the end and then come the side quests and exploration. I put more hours into that game than ant other 360 game to date... And I've played Divinity 2 4 times. -_-
And 11 is the worst Final Fantasy...

No towns, minimal character development and you can't explore anything till chapter 11 or so. Not exactly "What id expect from a Final Fantasy" but different strokes I guess. I happened to like VIII the most and some people hated it too.

I fell asleep playing it. The characters seemed bored and in turn that made me bored. I hated the fighting system. Paradigm shifting is annoying as fuck. I also hated how you unlocked skills. It was like a mix of X and XII. I'll eventually finish it, but for right now, I'd rather play other games.

Yep, thought it was going to be awesome, then I played it, and never made it past an hour into it...

I don't like how inflexible the battle system is. Or playing for hours and not caring about any of the characters because I know nothing about them other then superficial stuff. (Also the ending...)
