A few of my favorite games: Super Smash Bros, all the Zeldas, but OOT is the absolute favorite. All the Final Fantasys, but FF7 and Mystic Quest are the favorites.
And Super Mario World. Amazing.

Mine used to be the SOCOM games for PS2. I was in a clan with a great group of guys. We got to know each other so well playing online together that we arranged a trip to Panama City FL for about 5 days of drinking and debauchery in the summer of '04. Nine of us made the trip. 3 of us lived in the Nashville area so the rest of us flew there and drove from there to PC. I flew out of Cleveland, another guy from Detroit, one from KC and the other 2 already lived in Florida. It was a blast.

I know, at the time this was the first and only game that I ever played online multiplayer for and I was hooked. I never gamed on a PC so I got an ethernet adapter for my PS2. The servers were terrible by Live standards with lag and glitching galore but you could vote to boot any glithchers.
