EA holds all the contracts for football licensing, basically having a monopoly on the video games. The lawsuit says since they have the monopoly people were overcharged for the games.
I really doubt much will happen since there is a "standard" price for video games. But who knows......I'm not a lawyer

thank you mini
i thought ms/sony/nintendo couldnt legally put a set/standard 'price' on games? wasnt there some article/lawsuit/something like a year or so ago about how they couldnt technically go "all games MUST cost this much" or whatever? so i mean, the 'standard' price shouldnt be there anyways...its just the social/financial norm for companies these days...aside from wii/ds/psp games.

There used to be an NFL 2kwhatever game, like NHL 2k9, MLB 2k9, NBA 2k9, etc etc. But since 2005, EA owns the rights to anything NFL, therefore there aren't any 2k NFL sports games now.
