I wouldn't pirate music if the music industry wasn't so shitty anymore...(Justin Bieber and all that radio bullshit)...

So basically you pirate games too, cuz behind all these great games that come out, there is enough shitty ones to match it.

lol you act like piracy is a big problem. 20 k copies max usually get downloaded compared to 1 million in sales. piracy/used sales aren't a problem, it's cooperations being greedy. video games are the only market were used sales are the "devil" look at used cars, furniture, etc everything works. but developers seem to think they need a piece of every pie, and these "codes" are absolutely ridiculous nand should not be supported at all.

Don't pull random numbers out of your ass to support your argument. Do you know why the PC side of games is at a huge decline? Piracy. It may not be as high on console as it is on PC, but it is still a HUGE problem, look it up. Millions of people pirate games/movies/music every day and you seem to think that its okay.

And used games aren't absolutely bad, it does have its place in the world, but the fact is that they essentially take all the money from people, who have basically taken upwards to 2 years of their lives creating a product for you, the consumer. If a publisher charges 15 bucks out of a supposed 60, I see no fault in that.

2 of the most notorious websites for pirating are thepiratebay and demonoid. I just looked on both for downloads for starcraft 2, both didn't exceed 100 k combined. Get off your high horse and stop acting like you don't download anything illegal. Most games nowadays aren't worth their price tag, especially on PC. PC gaming is on a huge decline because of console gamings rise. you can't have two equally strong communities without a decline in one, PC gaming is becoming a thing of the past aside for MMO's and FPS'. and your forgetting that with a USED copy someone already PAID for that copy, the company already say a return on the game being sold, and alot of games get discontinued new, so i should have to pay 10 dollars to pay a 14.99 game online? that's bullshit and you know it.

Yes you should pay 10 bucks to play that game online. Yes, the game may have been paid before but not by you, therefore losing half the money they could have made. If you want to take part in a gaming community you should invest to support the people who run the servers and show developers that you're interested in the game, which gives us a better chance of seeing a sequel to a game you liked and supported.

Also, you downplay the shit out of piracy, buddy. I'm guessing the number of pirated Starcraft 2 games was near the 80k marks based on the 100k you wrote. Thats a huge number of stolen games, and thats one game on two sites, which is a small percentage of global piracy. Piracy is whats killing the PC game industry, not consoles.

Read this article on Crysis, the most pirated game of 2008. This proves my point.
