Yes Meta, I wasted like 3 hours last night playing with some random person to only find that out. Still got achievements, as far as the local goes its only two player but im the only person who plays on my box so I wouldnt know bout the gamertag deal.

U buy or rent? It probably would of made leveling achievements alot easier for me if I was host. Sorry the game is very fun but that kinda ruined the whole deal for me.

That's a good question... guess they don't think many people would coop so it wouldn't be a big deal.
Meta, it looks like both people get achievements- the coop/ multiplayer is like Fable 2- you jump into someone else's game. So you can actually exploit the achievements this way as well.
well you can get all the achievements, and it's actually easier to earn achievements if your the coop partner. because if i'm level 19, and everyone joins they get the level 20 achievements and can leave and rinse and repeat.
