Quote by www.examiner.com:
According to writer, producer, director, and baby-killer Jonathan Knight, the babies "seem harmless at first, but once they start ganging up on you, they're harder to kill." For whatever reason, I still can't imagine a group of babies being anything more than something I should just walk past while trying to ignore all the crying.
But as I said, these are evil babies. I mean, the game takes place in hell, after all. Obviously, good babies don't end up in hell. As many people would argue, however, babies aren't really capable of being evil. That's where the religious act of baptizing them comes in, the point of which is to save their souls from eternal damnation... and turning into demons
Either way, the babies are attacking your character, so the obvious response is to protect yourself. The best way to do that is with a gigantic scythe, of course. Morally, is this any different than killing dogs in Call of Duty? In both cases, you are being attacked and are simply defending yourself -- and let's not forget about the fact that none of this is real. But does that make it okay?
Play Magazine's Brady Fletcher expresses his feelings on the matter:
"I have gleefully and willingly skewered a plump pack of screaming babies with a huge scythe, and I look forward to doing it again."
That's a statement that's just waiting to be taken out of context, but what do you think? If it's okay in a video game environment to defend yourself from an attacker, be that an angry dog or a demonic baby, at what point do we draw the line? What should we not be doing in a video game?

So, let the discuss being. I originally saw this article on X360A and I wanted to bring the discuss to XBA. I personally don’t have a problem with this, it’s just a game and I ( as well as others here at XBA ) know between right and wrong, real and fake and as long as nobody starts running around the neighborhood with a make-shift scythe killing local babies, what’s the problem? What I think would be awesome is if we could punt them as we did chickens in Fable 1&2.
I just finshed playing the Demo last night and all I can say is amazing! I plan on going to gamestop today after work and pre-ordering the Special Edition and I cannot wait for this game to come out. I was one of the “suckes” who bought the PS3 specifically for God of War III that is set to come out soon, but now God of War is the farthest thing from my mind. If you haven’t checked out the demo for Dante’s Inferno, please, do yourself a favor and play it.
For those that were like me and forked out $300+ for a PS3 for a $60 PS3 game, my condolences go out to you.[/quote]
