Ohh I get it. Its like the people who leave out Halloween candy that says take 1 and the d-bag teenager walks up and dumps the whole container into his bag?
See the only problem with this analogy is that the teenager usually just eats the candy - he doesn't peddle it to other kids who didn't get candy from that house.

Sorry you feel that way. This guy stole from another site and frankly I can't moderate him for it but I don't have to tolerate it.
Stealing is stealing. If he told you where you could find an ATM that was handing out money for free it wouldn't make it right to go take 1000 dollars and say it wasn't your fault. You would still be stealing.
I would have applauded him for giving everyone one free month but now he is trying to profit from it. I usually keep stuff like this to myself since I am a mod but this is plain shitty trying to get stuff out of other people for codes he didn't pay for.

Like I said, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I do have the right as a member of this site to let everyone know how the codes were attained. You may not think it is stealing, but its not a gray area - when you are only supposed to take one of something and you take more you have stolen. I don't care if the organizers of the thing should have been more careful, manipulating the system by plugging in over 70 e-mail addresses is over the top. He stated in the other thread that he maxed out his live (3 years) and had about 40 codes leftover.
Lets just say he had about 72 of those codes, that is 6 years of live service. If you buy the 12 month from amazon that is 39.99 - which basically means he got around $240 dollars of codes. If you go with what those codes cost when you buy them in singles ($7.99) it is more like $570 dollars.
How in the world is that not stealing? Not to mention the other people who can't get codes because they are gone.
Anyhow I will drop it now. I made my point and made sure everyone knows they are trading for codes that were gotten by abusing the system.
I will also make mention that I DID report this to Xbox at my last post in the other thread (about 6:45PM EST). So I would also take these codes at your own risk since I hope they will take the time to investigate why so many codes were scooped up by the same IP addresses and negate them.

Well the problem is this. I can't prove he got those codes from that giveaway. So I can't just delete it. Secondly giving those codes away wouldn't hurt anything because if they even do anything about it the most they would probably do is invalidate the codes - essentially take the months back. That wouldn't hurt anyone who got it for free.

I agree that it's wrong to try and trade for them unless it is marked that he obtained them for free and people know they are trading something they paid for for something he got for free.
