That almost just happened to me I just unlocked the 50 awards achievement and wanted to go look at the ones I had and it said "updating stats" for about a min. Then when it came up there was nothing there, simply blank and got pretty pissed and just put my controller down, went slammed a beer and then came back. Thank god after about five mins more it all loaded up. Anyways it was a scare.
