There's tons of challenges on RB2 but they're mainly just playing a set list of songs by artist or genre. You do get new challenges as you download more songs. There's a challenge for all the full album downloads and a challenge for any artist if you have 3 or more of their songs in your catalog. There's a lot of achievements for completing the challenges too.
I've never played Rock Revolution and don't plan to ever. I thought the set list looked lousy and the fact that they're all covers really turned me off. Not to mention the gameplay looks atrocious. I woulda spent that five bucks on sandwich if I were you.

RB2 challenges weren't anything like RR or GH5.
The RR set list is one of my favorites. People revere GHII as the best GH ever, yet most of it's tracks were covers. People bag on RR for the very same reason. The covers on RR are for the most part fantastic. Skid Row and Pantera in particular. Some of the very best covers I've heard in a rythym based music game. I'd MUCH rather play them than a LOT of the master track garbage we've been getting in the other series...
The people that crack me up the most... the ones that bitch how shitty the game is, and HAVE NEVER PLAYED IT. The covers are really good, the set list is one of the best in any rythym based game yet imo, and the gameplay is just different. I think too many people bitch just for the sake of bitching on game boards any more. If it's too similar then it's a rip-off of blah blah, if it's too different then it's an atrocious pos... I mean really play the game or STFU.
Disclaimer: That last paragraph isn't directed at you or any single person in particular, just my general feeling about the average person posting on most game related web sites... I get so tired of whining and bitching...
I appreciate your opinion and your little disclaimer there but when you quote someone and go on a rant like that don't be surprised when they get a little defensive. I was just stating my opinion about this game. I believe I made it clear that the challenges on RB2 are not like the RR or GH5 challenges but they're still challenges and you get achievements for them. I never once mentioned GH2 and anyone who has been around these forums for more than a week knows I hate what Activision and Neversoft has done to the GH franchise. Yes GH2 was all covers but RR was made when all the competition was using masters.
Everyone had different tastes in music and in my opinion the set list for Rock Revolution was shitty. They may be good cover tunes in your opinion but the fact remains they're still cover tunes. Why would I want to play a game full of covers when I have over 400 master tracks to play in my RB catalog. My personal favorite set list from any of these games is the original set list for RB2. I don't need to play a game to know I won't like it. I don't like the set list, I've seen gameplay videos and heard nothing but bad things from people who have played it except for the few of you who posted here that like it.

I really wasn't talking about you bitching about the game, beleive it or not. I see the game constantly cut down. I was the same as you, thought it looked like shit to begin with. Stayed away for a while cuz of all the bad stuff I heard...
$5 better spent on a sandwich? I dunno that sandwich is gone in a few minutes...
No offense taken bro. I believe you weren't necessarily referring to me. I just wanted to clarify my opinion. Point taken about the sandwich. I was just crackin a joke there.
