A Perfect Circle: eMOTIVe review *special war-time edition*

A Perfect Circle, formed by Billy Howerdel and Maynard James Keenan, most known for his vocalist position in the Influential Progressive metal/rock band Tool, in 1995 when the duo became friends in '92. they held a few demos(seeing a keenan kept with Tool) and played their first live show in 1999. Howerdel wanted a girl to sing all of the songs, but settled for Keenan instead. Keenan now, jokingly, dresses nearly all the time like a girl during perfomances. eMOTIVE came out in 2004, following the great albums Mer De Noms in 2000 and Thirteenth Step in 2003. eMOTIVe is a collection of anti-war song covers and remakes, which is why people say, "this isnt APC". well, they need to STFU because i enjoyed this album thoroughly. every song is a 5-star song and is worthy of listening to at least once, if not more. i personally enjoyed Passive, Counting Bodies to the Rhythm of the War Drums, Imagine, Freedom of Choice, Let's have a War, and (what's so funny 'bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding. Counting Bodies.... was originally called "Pet" on a previous album(Thirteenth Step). honestly, that, and Passive are APC's only true songs on the album. the rest are covers(like "Imagine" originally by John Lennon). this album is a good one to listen to on a long trip, seeing as you never get tired of it. its mellow at points(near the end, like with "When the Levee Breaks") and its a bit more hard rock style(with "Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie) throughout the album. i'm personally glad i picked this up for $9.99. APC's eMOTIVe gets a 5/5.

a new CD MAYBE. its still not confirmed. Howerdel is with Ashes Divide still i think, and Tool has the new album confirmed. still not sure when it will be released though. so, thats the two main characters for APC right there. but talk was that, quote, "we may release an internet exclusive following Tool's newest tour. depends on how we feel." so, an APC internet exclusive may be in the works......
