I mean I am still all in favor of getting one but im starting to get a little worried because its rumored Oblivion is going to be four discs http://joystiq.com/2005/12/04/certain-highly-anticipated-xbox-360-title-filling-four-discs/. I know they are making a external HD DVD drive for the 360 sometime later this year but its only going to be for Movies not games. What do you guys think?

Does it really matter how many disks? Its not like you will have to be constantly swapping them out, you would only need to change it based on where you are in term of game progress.
Maybe it is the computer gamer in me, but I don't see this being much of an issue.
As far as HD-DVD and Blu Ray hi def.......I predict it will flop right out of gate just like Surround Audio has. The confusion with competing formats, hi cost of new technology, limited titles and the fact that 50% of the population just purchased their first DVD player within the last couple years will NOT have people wanting to spend money to upgrade, especially when they learn the new hi def disks are incompatable with their existing players.

Here is a good thing that means they are learning to compress games better to fit on DVD disks considering how big Oblivion prolly is:
"Responding to speculation, a Bethesda developer recently posted on The Elder Scrolls Forums that "the game will be on one disk." For the time being, this puts to rest fear that the DVD-9 format utilized by the Xbox 360 is ill-equipped to handle the demands of next-gen data. Many believed Oblivion would be the first 360 title to max out the format, but "MrSmileyFaceDude" put down claims that the massive next-gen RPG will span four discs."
