I THINK T.B. directed the first one...that one had a creepy ass vibe to it with Jack Nicholson playing the joker. I love the way they are going with the new ones now though, I have to agree with you. The last one surpassed my expectations and I can see the rest of them only getting better.

I'm glad they got rid of the comical (not comical as in haha..comical as in comic book) design of the movie and are going for a much more deeper darker batman series

Yeah Tim Burton directed the one with Jack Nicholson. I though Batman Begins was AWESOME!! I got a buddy who has some tickets to a special screening of the new one this thursday, hes kind of a dumb ass but I may have to be his good friend for one night! lol
