As our community has grown, Pasta and I have chatted and/or talked with numerous members and two topics seem to come up repeatedly:
VOTE IN THE POLL
1. People have stated they would be willing to contribute to the site for operational expenses
In response to this, we are looking into doing an annual fundraiser to help offset the expenses of running XboxOhio. Contributions would be on a voluntary basis and for whatever amount the contributor is comfortable with.
2. There is disappointment over the lack of more structured tournaments
Although we have done a few tourneys in the past, they were primarily for fun and participation was light.
What we are looking into doing is instituting a quarterly CoD2 tournament. It would be a battle royal of sorts, that will take place four times a year and will culminate in one hellashish finale (A fifth and final event) for the top 7 players from the previous Quarterly tournaments. The tournaments would have a one-time entrance fee (one small fee gets you in all tournaments), set times known well in advance, be structured and would result in prizes being distributed based on the level of participation (see Poll above).
More details will be forthcoming if interest is high.
