Viking Tips/Suggestions

So I traded Moon Knight for Viking about a week ago and I'm finally going to open it up and start it after I hear from a few of my fellow XbA members. I've read a few different articles online about how to play through the game and just wanted to hear from people I actually will believe.

Should I start on normal or hard on my first play through and will most of the achievement come up during gameplay or will I have to put some effort into them?

and yea, my score ends in a 7 or 2 cause my gf loved the game luxor 2 and it had goofy cheeves, i hate games with 1,2,3,4 point cheeves, it's unamerican if you ask me.

Play on hard your first playthrough, if you die you just revive right behind the battle, there's no consequence except maybe loss of 100 gold or so. The only hard part of the game is making your way to the last boss. Oh, and also the last boss' first phase made me put the controller down and walk away at risk of breaking my T.V. I slept on it, woke up and beat it first try. Make sure you look up a skullbagger walkthrough as they are all missable!

lol i actually grabbed this out of my huge pile of games yesterday before going to pick up batman since I only have 5 points in it lol and then by the time I decided to play it was 14 minutes before gamestop opened so i ran to gamestop and picked up batman instead lol

It's not too bad of a game for an easy 1k game. Like everyone said, start on hard. Once you get the hang of the combat, you'll start flying through it. The only thing that really sucks beside pure repetition, is the laughable "stealth" parts of the game. You are a roughly 6'5" 300lb. viking armed to the teeth! Why the hell would they even put stealth in this game??!! That's what makes the skullbagger achievements a pain in the ass. There was actually a few towns that I had to completely wipe out every individual in it because I could not sneak past anyone! lol

Yes, I did smash a controller on the last fights before you fight the end boss, but that controller paid the ultimate price so my TV didn't have to!
