I don't think it's so much as video games are selling MORE than dvds I just think more people are burning copies of dvds and then you just see more of the game being bought. I didn't realize that many people would buy a movie game anyways (rather than renting it)

yea, most people can watch/burn dvds over the internet now, so they dont bother buying them....burning games is more harder, as MS (idk about sony or nintendo) will put the banhammer unto you

personally, regardless of the "comic to movie to game" or just the "movie to game" or even the "novel to game" i am always going to prefer the game. well... maybe not always, but in all likely-hood. that's just my style, my interest.
there are few games i'll pay 60 bucks for.
there are even FEWER movies i'll pay 20 bucks to see.
and yet, there you have it. i buy games, sometimes just from my gut feeling.
i've seen probably 20 or so movies in the theater total.
when it comes to buying movies, shit... maybe 10?
and most of those have been oldies. like... 6.99$ bargain bins.
i can't speak for any community as a whole, but in my opinion, you're going to get more bang for your buck, buying a video game, as opposed to going to/buying a movie that you may or may not watch twice.
