Microsoft snuck another one in on us. Ultimate Mortal Combat III was made available on Xbox Live Arcade overnight to Xbox 360 owners. Note today isn't a Wednesday.
Players will be able to choose from 22 fighters and have secret methods to allow for additional fighters to be played. There will be a 2 on 2 Kombat mode and a bunch of different environments, including Scorpion's Lair, Jade's Desert, Kahn's Kave, River Kombat, Noob's Dorfen and more.
Multiplayer will have several different modes including the new Challenger Versus Mode which allows you and 3 other friends to battle it out in a "winner-stays-on" style tournament. Extensive leaderboards and 12 achievements (rewarding both novice and expert players) rounds out the goods. The game will cost 800 points to download.
