Summing this up as short as possible...

I have a 360 Elite. My wife made another account/gamertag on this 360 and used it to buy some XBLA games (card games mostly).

Just yesterday I bought her her very own 360. She recovered her gamertag to that console. Now the XBLA games she DID buy only allow her to play the full version online. She's not happy with that at all. I can play the games on my console just fine, online or offline and I never bought them.

Is there anything she can do to allow herself to play the full versions of the games she bought on HER new console OFFLINE now?

New Note: This new License Transfer thing on Xbox.com... Would this help? Would my entire licenses transfer over to her console? Of can she just get it to where she can transfer the license's of the games that she bought when she was on my console...?

Ok... that sounds cool...

I'm not sure how true this is, but on another message board (won't mention names) I was told that the license transfer would make render everything - well not everything, but XBLA games - USELESS.

Not that I don't believe you but are you sure the transfer is Gamertag based only or system based?

I really don't want all my Arcade games rendered useless (meaning I'd have to connect to Live all the time just to play).

get a transfer wire so you can download her stuff onto her own 360.
The transfer wire allows you to download your programs from one 360 to another.
Microsoft gives them away for free, but you have to fill out an application and send it in.

That is incorrect. I have an Elite and a Pro, and I recently used the transfer tool to roll up everything under one console (DLC and XBLA titles). I can still play it on both (having dowloaded a copy to my Pro and having it connected to Live with my profile traveling by the memory card). However, all the transfer tool does is associate all your DLC with a specific Console serial number. That is the key, not the gamertag.

Yes, I don't have much experience with the tool or transferring rights; I've actually never tried to play my XBLA games offline since I switched to an Elite, but I doubt I would be able to unless I ran that tool. It won't "break" your arcade games, but as Z said, when the games are downloaded they are locked to a particular console ID. If you are connected to Live and signed in, then it doesn't matter what console you are on as Microsoft can confirm your gamertag and sees that you have rights to own and download those games, but playing offline they are locked to the console that they were originally downloaded on. The tool transfers the license to a new console, so it should solve your problem.
