A couple of housecleaning things....
a. Tomorrow, I will be doing some updates to the Tournament page. Check back, as I will be moving them over as soon as they are finished.
b. I wil address the issue of the Host lag soon, but as of now, I am still leaning toward self-governing within the bracket games.
c. The other thing is in regards to the amount of teams in the tournament. I did not expect to have the bracket almost full 5 1/2 days in with 13 of the 16 slots already filled.
As a result, we will be opening up some additional entries via two play-in brackets. These brackets will feed into the main bracket via two of the remaining three slots.
What this means is that after spot #14 is filled (the next team to sign-up), we will leave open the final two bracket spots and have two small mini-brackets off them to accommodate up to four additional teams (two per bracket).
The negative side to this is that some teams will have to be here a little earlier that day (11:00 a.m. EST) and play more games to win the tourney. However, the positive side is that you can still get into the tourney, and you will be plenty warmed up when you hit the main bracket. I plan to have the Bracket updated tomorrow so you can see how it will look.
Once these spots are filled, I will take three additional teams on a wait list in case someone drops out.
So as of now, we have 1 spot left in the Main bracket, and up to four spots in the two play-in brackets. We are down to three wait list slots in case a team drops.
