the extra mem only going 2 affect the xna part wont do anything 4 games its a developers console

1.The HDD is not huge. All dev consoles have that so they can live update their games on the console with not hassle.
2. For people saying 1 gig HDD, its not. Its Virtual Memory so we can have more onscreen and stuff like that. This would allow better graphics and less frame rate drops in 99% games.

Alright, you guys are a little mistaken; first off, this console will not be released to the public in a few months. When the site says "Until you can totally get one of your own in a couple months", its talking to developers. This 360 is given to developers as part of a development kit, normal people cannot buy them and it will not be available to the public. Developers will be able to purchase the kit from Microsoft in a few months.
And while it looks like the hard drive is physically huge, that is just how Microsoft makes their development 360s; they make it a taller profile than your standard 360. And the 1GB of memory? Its not virtual memory, virtual memory would be using something else like hard drive space as RAM. The system actually contains 1GB of physical RAM, as compared to a normal retail 360s 512MB. The reason this contains twice the amount is so that devs have room to use it as what's called 'debugging memory', in order to sort out problems quicker. Having a 360 with a Gig of RAM wouldn't really help your gaming none, since every 360 game is designed to be used with the standard 512MB.

I dont know, i would say if something like this does not go public another console like it will. So far there is Halo edition and RE5.
I honestly dont see the draw to the red xbox, there is nothing on it that even says RE5 right, its just red and comes with re5.
At least the halo ed is full out halo, no mistaken there.
I would be really cool to see a gears of war 3 xbox.
Or even a COD MW2 xbox
